wise words...

I haven't really felt like blogging for a while, and this is one of the reasons why...I love the internet, but I find that if I spend too much time online I end up wanting things that I didn't even know existed 5 minutes ago.

So this week I have been taking time out from t'internet - to focus on what I have, and spend time with my partner and kids doing fun stuff in the real world.  It's been nice! Hope you're having a lovely weekend.

  2. Yip totally agree. Funnily enough when we had no modem for 4 days it made life much simpler. Chatting, playing, reading and just concentrating on being together! I think I'm only going to try and take regular breaks from the internet. x

    1. Me too Jen - I did wonder if you were enjoying your enforced net-free time! I'm hoping to spend less but better quality time online from now on - and definitely less time looking for things to want! x

  4. Very true! Internet and blogging can be addictive and I've been taking time away from it this week as we have loads of stuff on at home. It's such a vacuum of spare time, isn't it?? xx

    1. It is a total time sponge, and actually time is precious, and is often better spent doing something else. I love blogging but I do tend to spend too long just timewasting online, and I feel happier and more productive when I try to keep that to a minimum. Hope you have a great week. xx

  5. yes - I've calmed down on Pinterest for this reason and dip in and out other peoples blogs. I had a lot of house/life/blog/stuff envy and then thought, actually it's not real... my real is 2 boys sitting on the sofa next to me! xx

    1. Exactly that Lou - our boys are growing up so fast, and I don't want to have just pinned/blogged/facebooked my way through their childhood! I'm off to snuggle with Max before he goes to bed. Hope you had a lovely weekend. xx

  8. I agree, it's good to have a break for a bit. I seem to get so much more done! I don't use pinterest so much now as it can be such a time waster and I didn't feel I was getting much from it. Hope you had a lovely weekend Rachel xx

  13. Perfectly understandable - the only reason why I have time to blog is that I am awake half the night and need to fill the long hours!! Have some R&R!
